NexGen addressed the full stucco exterior of our 2 storey, 34 year old house. The work was completed roughly 6 months ago; I waited to provide this review to see how the product performed. NexGen repaired damage to the stucco that resulted from window and door replacement, removed “bubbles” where the stucco had separated from the wire mesh underneath, and then updated the finish by replacing the heavily textured and discoloured stucco with one that is flat and clean. The job took roughly 2 weeks to complete. It is messy work due to the scraping of the current stucco and the spraying of the final finish. NexGen though did a good job of capturing scrapings on drop-clothes, masking/taping other surfaces to minimize the mess, and then followed completion with a detailed clean-up. The job significantly upgraded and updated the exterior look of our house. If this is what you are wanting to do… concrete based stucco refinishing vs other options such as acrylic or paint… consider this approach and NexGen as your contractor.

We were in a tough spot after our home inspector identified a potential issue with the acrylic stucco on a house we had a conditional offer on. We contacted David after finding him on homestars and he came in to take a look the very next day. He offered a candid opinion before coming back and performing a quick definitive test to give us piece of mind on a life changing decision. David is professional and punctual and is an incredibly knowledgeable expert on stucco. We would highly recommend him!

Dave made several site visits to check on the status of patio and window work being done in the yard. We were hoping that work would get done before the parging. The windows had not yet arrived and when the temperature at night dropped below zero I thought maybe this work would have to wait until next year. Then on a saturday it warmed up and Dave with a crew of 5 arrived at our house at 9:30 to get the parging done. That included his plan to come back next spring to repair any parging chips from the window installation. A very smooth process began with chipping off the loose parging and patching the deep holes. Then applying the new parging, finishing and clean-up. All done in less than a day. We are very happy with the finished product and to get it done this year. Thanks Dave, you and your team were great. Pretty fine service!

Passionate about stucco. Educated me from the first day of planning to the final cleanup. Kept me informed about schedule and plan for the day/week. Worked well with other trades onsite as I was gc’s a major reno/nee build Crew was courteous and respectful. Would highly recommend Nexgen, Dave and crew.

We wanted to finish off our concrete on the garage with some troweled parging/stucco work, as it looked rough and porous. Next Generation Stucco did a great job. First of all they came when they said they would, and they did quality work. They also noticed a separate issue on our house which they kindly addressed and fixed. We will definitely use them again if we ever need stucco or parging work.

We are very pleased with the work Next Generation Stucco has done for us a few months ago. What really stood out was the consultative approach from the very first moment, even before we had decided to hire them. During the project unexpected issues came up that NGS handled really well. Also, we had several additional requests once the project was already started, that were always handled with flexibility and availability. Overall they have done a really nice job. If we will need in the future any type of services that NGS offers we will definitely hire them again!!

We had a renovation project go sideways where they took off stucco that didn’t need to be removed. Dave was super responsive and confident about his work. It is really refreshing to have someone who does what they say. He was here working when he said he would be. The first take didn’t quite work out but Dave was here right away and fixed it perfectly! You can’t even tell that there was a repair as the color match is spot on as is the texture finish. I am very particular in the work that is done and Dave absolutely hit the mark. Dave replaced/repaired the cracked and damaged stucco on the upper part my chimney. Dave took the time to address some roofing issues that were outside of his scope of work and he has continued to offer helpful advice and direction on other area of work that are required with my home even though his part is complete. Dave seems very passionate about his trade and it was reassuring to know that the job was done right.

Dave is a pleasure to deal with and the work he and his team does is excellent. They consistently left the site tidy and Dave was always available to troubleshoot and find solutions. I was a total pain in the neck about getting a colour that I like (it is an unconventional blue) and Dave was exceedingly patient, regularly dropping off samples for me to review. It was a challenging season with the weather being not particularly condusive to stucco work but Dave always kept me updated. I am beyond pleased with the finished product.

Dave gave me a solid quote and stuck to it. We had some delays due to weather, but that was beyond his control, and he did the work as soon as was possible. The work itself met my expectations. They even framed a window for me when I became unable to do it due to a broken arm. They went above and beyond to complete the work. Dave and the team were very personable and polite, and performed a great site cleanup. I recommend NexGen without hesitation.

Dave at NEXGEN was the third quote for my repair job. Unlike the previous guys he noticed right away that the problem was more extensive that originally thought. These were necessary repairs. And when they began the work it turned out to be even worse than I thought. Dave was thorough and upfront with everything. Dave is knows his stuff and gave me a lot of advice and reassurance before the work began. During the job they were delayed by product and rain, but Dave kept in contact all the way through. The finished as soon as the weather permitted and they really paid attention to detail.

Dave and his crew did a great job repairing the stucco on my deck posts, retaining wall and around a large picture window. Would have no hesitation using them again.

We had a relatively minor stucco repair, but Dave didn’t hesitate to provide us with a quote (much better than another outfit) and tackle the job. Our house is 20+ years old and trying to match the color was a difficult task, but Dave worked hard to get it right. We were away when the work was done and one of the areas needing repair was accidentally missed. When I brought it to Dave’s attention, he was extremely apologetic and went out of his way to come back and take care of it in a timely manner. We were a bit nervous getting our stucco repaired after seeing some not-so-great results on other homes. So glad we chose Next Gen for the job, as our results were much better than we were expecting. Wouldn’t hesitate to call on him again and/or recommend him. Dave’s a stand-up guy and his work speaks for itself.

We had some crumbled stucco on our walkout, and thought the fix would be cheap and easy. After talking with David, we discovered there’s a fix, and there’s a Next Generation fix. Their repair was beyond what we expected. Extremely efficient, great workmanship, pride in their work, and a commitment to getting it done right. Like a really great haircut, we keep looking at our stucco repair and comment to each other what a great decision it was to do it, and having Nex Gen getting it done! Very professional, team ensured the work space, our home was always accessible and clean. Dave and team got to the work within the timeframe he gave us and finished it as planned. Colour matching was excellent and the finish looks great.

We had to remove and reinstall the windows on the back of our house and as a result needed to remove a large portion of the exterior stucco. Next Generation came in with a competitive price and completed the work faster than anticipated and the finished product looks equal to or better than the original stucco. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hard working stucco crew that knows how to do the job right.

Next Generation Stucco did an awesome job in repairing my ever aging and cracking, literally “holey” chimney and side all the way down to the ground. We had quite the mess with cracks and holes in various spots and a cap that was put on by another roofing company that caused some of the issues being way too tight. Next Generation Stucco showed up when promised and made short work of the repairs doing an excellent job. We have a 27 year old house and when you can match the paint as well as this team did, hats off to them. They also on the last day did a walk around the house and patched up some other areas of concern, even ones we didn’t see. No stone was left unturned here including installing proper flashing and diverters to stop the waterfalls when it rained from damaging more stucco. All in all an excellent job by an excellent group of people!!

Next Generation was great. They did an excellent job matching my existing stucco with the new repairs as well as fix some additional chimney repairs. The cost was quite low compared to other quotes and they had no problems filling in additional problems as requested. Would go back to them if I ever get other stucco issues (knock on wood).
